Algorithm Coffee Co is a local, independent specialty coffee roasting company based in Berkeley, Ca. Dedicated to precision and quality from farm to cup. We source only specialty grade, single origin coffees in season. We roast our coffee to bring out the origin flavors that make these offerings so special.

Artis coffee

We are the only roaster in the area who live-roasts coffee on demand. All of our beans are green, and roasted on the spot using small batch fluid air bed roasters.

Mr. Espresso

All of our coffees are roasted in a wood-fueled roaster. Our founder, Carlo Di Ruocco, started the company in 1978 and it remains a family business. Carlo was honored by the SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America) with the 2015 Passionate Cup Award. He is credited with bringing Italian quality espresso to the SF Bay Area, and elevating it to an expected offering at cafes and fine dining establishments.
